December 2010 - CD Launch
Local girls, Jess (aged 11) and Sophie (aged 14) release a specially recorded CD in aid of the Centre.
Their album, Jess and Sophie: Sing for the Children covers eleven songs as diverse as Ave Maria, Leona Lewis's Footprints in the Sand and Elton John's Your Song. A special preview of the album took place at the Christmas Shopping Evening in Coleford on 2nd Dec where pre-orders were taken.
The album was available at £6.99 from the Forest of Dean Children’s Opportunity Centre. There are a few copies still available, please contact the centre on 01594 837552 or e-mail louisa.davies@childoc.org.uk

18/6/09 - 'Children In Need' Fund The Centre
In April 2009 The Centre was awarded £73,020.00!!!! Thanks in abundance go to Jeff Demaree who made the Application to BBC Children In Need whilst working at the Centre as temporary Trusts & Grants Fundraiser. The funds will be awarded over 3 years and will ensure we retain our superb Family Services Team as well as providing arts & crafts materials and special needs equipment.
16/6/09 - Treasurer Wanted
We are currently looking for a treasurer to join our Management Committee. The Treasurer will keep accounts for the charity and work closely with the Finance & Facilities Manager, as well as all the other responsibilities and decisions made by all the Trustees. 5/6/09 - New Chair for Centre comes from Heart
Heart 102.4 FM, formerly Severn Sound, have made a generous donation of £2,089 from ‘Have Heart’ formerly ‘Money Mountain’ to The Forest of Dean Children’s Opportunity Centre, with which they have purchased a chair specifically made to measure for the children with a special need/disability who access the services at the Centre. The company who make the chair, R82, sent Chris Grant down to the Centre in Coleford to fit a sample chair to Oliver Rossiter, just one of the children who will benefit greatly from using the chair. The R82 X:Panda is multi adjustable, it is mobile, has a removable work shelf, and is ergonomically designed for those children who have limited or no mobility.
