Epilepsy Support group
This runs once a month on a Friday morning at the Centre, 9.30am – 11.30am. The aim is for those parents who have a child who suffers from Epilepsy, whether it is combined with other special needs or on it’s own, to meet with others to exchange ideas, learn about new procedures or initiatives, ask questions on anything related to Epilepsy or just to meet for a ‘chat’. Speakers will be invited along to speak on topics that parents/carers have expressed an interest in. Many conferences on Epilepsy that are organised by other agencies are held out of county and can be expensive, which limits access for many parents, so we plan to help this become more accessible by organising trips to these conferences and helping with costs. This group is free of charge.
