Rainbow Group (Conductive Education)
These groups are run jointly with Coleford Early Years Centre and are for children who have a co-ordination difficulty between the ages of 2-7. The aim of the group is for the child to learn skills needed for an independent life, including active participation in play groups, nurseries, schools, home life and outdoor activities. Conductive Education does not only concentrate on the physical aspect, because it regards the child as a complete person, where the different functions of speech, movements, cognitive development, emotions etc. are all integrated into one inter-related system. These groups run each Tuesday morning 9.00-10.30 and afternoon 1.15-2.45. in the therapy room at the Centre. This group is free of charge.
